History

The history of Europeans in Peru leaves much to be desired. The Spanish came to Peru and (in a most vicious way) plundered Gold, with no regard for the indigenous people of this great land. Due to this, there is still a great sense of distrust today. This caused a challenge for Alex and Vladimir in the beginning. Even though Vladimir is fluent in Spanish, he is of European descent. Alex, also, is of European descent and therefore, they both encountered initial resistance. However, with sage wisdom, they were able to win over the people in the neighboring villages and have garnered their trust and respect. In fact, Matmown has a great reputation among the small villages surrounding the concession and with area law enforcement. Matmown is also diligent in all areas of corporate compliance.

For the first half of 2005, the work consisted of gathering ore (rocks with gold), for the purpose of sampling.

In order to better understand, the following is a depiction of the first work location:

The drive from Lima to the site was beautiful, but dangerous. Many people have lost their lives travelling up those narrow, bumpy, winding roads that run along on the side of the mountains. Vehicles drove off the road to their peril. Men, walking too close to the edge, have fallen a thousand feet to their deaths. The night is dark and desolate. The summer days carry a scorching heat. There is no electricity; no running water, no telephone and it is an hour by automobile to the closest medical care facility. Even though Alex, Vladimir and the team endured hardships and danger, their singleness of mind caused them to look past the struggles and sacrifices, and to be diligent, in order to complete the task ahead.

In the summer of 2005, the first concession was secured by Alex and Vladimir. It consisted of one hundred hectares, or two hundred and forty seven acres. Then, a few months later, another few hundred hectares were secured. This pattern continued on, until now. The end result of which is that currently, Matmown controls a total of 7,000 hectares (17,290 acres). During this time of acquisition, equipment was purchased, the basic infrastructure was set in place, more men were hired and the work of producing Gold began.

Through new business relationships, Chile has now become part of the exploration model of Matmown. There are large areas that are currently being surveyed for not only Gold, but for Copper as well.

A preliminary geological report was prepared in 2006. A second report was completed in the summer of 2007.

A third and more exhaustive report was completed in September 2007. It is also, the opinion of the geologist with a drill program results maybe higher higher than those currently anticipated. Matmown is confident that with sufficient capital, they can continue to expand and produce their company in Peru and Chile, thus, bringing increased value to their shareholders.

In the fall of 2009, a NI 43-101 was completed on its Peru property. It is Matmown's desire to not only expand the exploration process on this property but to restart gold production once again.
